Job Description
The Receptionist for the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM) at Lincoln Memorial University (LMU)-Knoxville is responsible for the operation of the switchboard and the routing of visitors/vendors.

Job Duties
- promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large
- promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students
- participate on university committees
- Promote and uphold the safeguarding of student, staff, and faculty access data by following established protocols and ensuring the secure handling of identification and access-related information
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify, analyze, and resolve technical or operational issues that arise during daily job functions
- Operate and maintain badge printing technology to ensure accurate and timely production of identification badges for students, staff, and faculty.
- answer calls on the main switchboard for LMU-DCOM building to include supplying general information to callers, screening and routing the calls to the appropriate destination
- greet visitors, vendors, staff and others in a professional and courteous manner
- direct visitors, vendors, and others to appropriate departments and/or personnel
- take and distribute phone messages as appropriate
- monitor loading dock entries
- assist with mailings, distributions and special projects
- assist other administrative staff with overflow work and phone coverage
- schedule appointments as necessary
- operate office machines, including calculator, copy machine and computer
- make signs as needed for meetings
- complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports necessary for the advancement of University programs, both on campus and at extended campus sites
- perform other duties as assigned
