Summary of Essential Duties:

• As a Transplant Coordinator, Transplant Services, you will assist the Nurse Practitioner/Transplant Coordinator in the coordination of post-transplant care, retrieval of diagnostic work-up, and data entry into CS Link
• Serves as a patient advocate throughout the transplant process
• Maintains competency skills including the ability to deliver care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds
• Identify the ability of the adolescent, adult and geriatric patients to follow instructions and give consent
• Identify safety concerns and institute measures to provide a safe environmental and provide appropriate assessment, intervention and evaluation of patients

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
• BSN

License/Certification:

• Current, unrestricted California RN license required
• BLS, ACLS & PALS from the American Heart Association required
• Certified Transplant Coordinator certification preferred (or willing to obtain within one year from start date)

Experience:

• A minimum of 3 year of acute care nursing experience required
