Registered Nurse - PRN

CLIA waived point of care laboratory testing of patient specimens. Performs phlebotomy, and prepares specimens for reference lab. Performs therapeutic measures and nursing services ordered by health center physicians and Nurse Practitioners including medications, vaccines, allergy injections, ear lavage, wound care and EKG Works closely with the Medical Provider to assist with Women's health exams, I&Ds, suturing, eye tray and other tasks as needed. Acts as a chaperone during sensitive exams. Ability to analyze emergency situations and take prompt action Responds to telephone and email inquiries, and effectively triages through clear communication. Schedule patients to be seen as appropriate. Maintains quality, safety, and infection control standards Makes and follows up on referrals for radiology and to community specialty practices Provides information and instructions regarding preventative health, health practices and self-care Maintains patient privacy and the security of patient information Qualifications: RN with at least 3 years of experience. Current active NC Registered Nurse license. Previous experience in college health, public health, primary care or urgent care/emergency room preferred. Current certification in CPR/AED.
