REGL AND CMPLNC HC SPEC 4
Reporting to the Director of Medical Staff Administration the Medical Staff Quality Specialist provides data and analytical support to UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland and to the Organized Medical Staff for OPPE and peer review processes, including support of Peer Review and Professionalism investigations. Is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of reporting and databases, and for new and ongoing projects related to medical staff evaluation and credentialing.
- Collaborates with the Director of Medical Staff Administration in analyzing individual and group OPPE and peer review data.
- Completes assigned projects related to medical staff data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Writes reports from peer review database upon request and on a recurring basis.
- Maintains the integrity of data ensuring timely, relevant, accurate and consistent information use.
- Summarizes and reports OPPE and peer review data.
- Assists in improving the quality of data and information as appropriate; including audit of data collection processes.
- Participates in medical staff committees and teams to help track quality outcomes and measures.
- Maintains knowledge of Joint Commission and regulatory standards related to medical staff credentialing, privileging, and ongoing evaluation, and professionalism.
- Promotes and adheres to the customer service philosophy and standards of UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland by interacting and communicating with colleagues in a way that promotes a harmonious and cooperative working environment. Displays courteous behavior to customers and coworkers. Establishes and maintains a cooperative relationship with patients, staff and others.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $118,300 - $268,900 (Annual Rate).
