We are now establishing a new Relocation Service, within our HR Division, who will provide expert and dedicated relocation advice and support for new employees of the University. As a result, we now have a unique opportunity for an experienced relocation professional to join the team as a Relocation Adviser to help establish and lead this service.
The Role:
As our Relocation Adviser, you will utilise your extensive destination-based relocation knowledge to set up the service by developing and implementing guidance and associated procedures, ensuring they meet the University’s needs and are in line with external best practice.
You will also oversee the development of new guidance for prospective staff members, covering information such; housing availability and costs, temporary accommodation options, local services, cost of living, healthcare, schooling, family support, tax and insurance information and general settling in advice. This role does not focus on immigration or global mobility, as we already have specialist teams in these areas.
You will also:
- Propose new strategies and benefits that will enhance our relocation provision, attracting candidates to work with the University.
- Develop an engaging, informative and interactive platform that supplies accessible relocation information to prospective employees and colleagues.
- Provide line management support to the new Relocation Coordinator.
- Liaise with our expert Global Mobility and Immigration and Compliance functions to deliver a holistic relocation offering, while focusing your role on the practical and personal elements of relocation and settlingin support.
- Provide briefings to colleagues across the University on our relocation provision, supporting effective onboarding of new staff.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you must join us with:
- Indepth experience of delivering corporate relocation or destination services, either inhouse or through an external provider, with a strong emphasis on practical relocation support.
- A current and comprehensive knowledge of issues relating to relocation, both domestically and internationally, especially in areas such as; accommodation, cost of living, local services, healthcare, schooling and wider family support needs.
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate with key stakeholders, peers, senior management and staff.
- The ability to convey information in a variety of formats, both verbal and written.
- Strong organisation, time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This exciting role would suit candidates who have experience of working as part of an organisational relocation service or would like to broaden their experience of supporting the development of relocation processes and guidance at an organisational level.
