Skills/Qualifications
Requirements:
- a PhD degree in philosophy
- aptitude for research and teaching, confirmed by a reference from a senior academic (an established researcher)
- a significant research record
- teaching and organisational experience
- active participation in research activities
- documented expertise, demonstrated through a diploma, publications, and conference presentations, in the history of twentieth-century and contemporary philosophy, particularly German philosophy, with a focus on philosophical anthropology, philosophy of culture, social philosophy, action theory, and theories of rationality
- active involvement in obtaining external funding for research
- good command of English, evidenced by publications and conference presentations; knowledge of German will be a valuable asset
- proficiency in Polish sufficient to teach university courses
- meeting the requirements set forth in the Law on Higher Education and Science (Art. 113) and the UMCS Statutes (§ 79)
