Competition for the academic post of research assistant at the 2nd Department of Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy at the Maria Sklodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology, Gliwice Branch

Skills/Qualifications
Candidates entering the competition are required to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Hold a medical degree and be authorised to practise medicine in the Republic of Poland;
- Demonstrate, over the last two years (2024, 2025) prior to submitting an application for employment as an assistant, to have produced academic output that would qualify for a positive assessment in the periodic evaluation of an assistant’s academic output, conducted in accordance with the Institute’s Regulations on the periodic evaluation of the academic and research-technical output of academic and research-technical staff;
- Hold the title of specialist in the field of clinical oncology or be undertaking specialist training in this field;
- Have at least one full-text, original publication in their academic record, published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal included on the Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s list of scientific journals within the two years preceding the submission of the application for the post of research assistant;
- For applicants whose native language is not Polish, a certificate confirming proficiency in Polish at B1 level is required.
Specific Requirements
Candidates entering the competition should submit the following documents:
- a declaration of application for the post covered by the competition, together with the following statement: ‘I consent to the processing of my personal data contained in the documents I have submitted by the Maria Sklodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology, Gliwice Branch to the extent necessary for the competition procedure, in accordance with the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1781)”;
- a declaration to sign the following statements: “I, the undersigned, declare that on the date of signing the employment contract or an annex to the employment contract – for employment in a research post – I shall sign the following statements: ‘Declaration of consent to be classified as a member of staff engaged in scientific activity’ and ‘Declaration on field and discipline’ (field: medical and health sciences, discipline: medical sciences);
- documents confirming professional qualifications and the requirements specified in paragraph 1 of the competition notice;
- a personal statement or curriculum vitae;
- a list of academic publications, broken down into original papers, review articles, chapters in textbooks, participation in research grants/projects, and a description of other achievements (in research, teaching and organisational activities).
