Research Associate (Fixed Term)
We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Post-Doctoral Research Associate to join a dynamic new interdisciplinary team exploring the mechanisms that shape long-term health and neurodevelopmental outcomes in children. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data science, pregnancy and child health research, and translational impact, contributing to studies that will inform global understanding and policy.
The successful candidate will play a central role in leveraging data from our established birth and neonatal cohorts, while also helping to design and implement innovative new longitudinal studies. This work will ensure our data resources remain internationally leading and maximise their value for future research.
You will work with rich, multi-dimensional datasets that integrate clinical, biological, environmental, and developmental information collected from pregnancy through early childhood. You will also help shape new studies by contributing to study design, metadata standards, and embedding principles of interoperability and reusability from the outset.
You will have a PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g. epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, child health, or a related field), strong analytical skills, and experience working with longitudinal or cohort data. A collaborative mindset and a passion for improving child health outcomes through data-driven research are essential.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment. This appointment also requires a Research Passport application.
