"Research Associate II"

Position Summary

Rutgers The State University is seeking a Research Associate II in the Department of Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research within Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare. The Research Associate II will support community-based research across New Jersey aimed at improving health outcomes among diverse populations in New Jersey, with a focus on immigrant communities. This includes engaging participants, overseeing recruitment and data collection, administering cognitive assessments, and overseeing data quality, analysis, and dissemination of research findings.

Key Duties:

• Performs research operations of multiple data collection efforts for NJ Health Study components.
• Under supervision, develops research performance standards of data quality improvement activities, including data review, management, and preparation for analysis.
• Collaborates and problem-solves with team members to ensure study data integrity and fidelity to research study protocols.
• Develops and assists with overall study management and coordination, including providing logistical and operational support for day-to-day study activities, including scheduling, tracking timelines, and supporting study documentation.
• Develops and oversees recruitment and data collection activities conducted by part-time staff working with key immigrant communities.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Ph. D. Degree or equivalent in a relevant science, or a Master's Degree in a relevant science plus three (3) years of related research experience.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to carry boxes with promotional material.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Evening and weekend work is required.
