Research Associate in Microbiome Dynamics

The Coyte Lab group within the Division of Evolution, Infection and Genomics wishes to appoint a Research Associate to an exciting project exploring the interplay between the mammalian immune system and gut microbiome, funded by an 8-year Wellcome CDA in collaboration with Prof. Matthew Hepworth.

During this position, the post-holder will design and lead bioinformatic analyses of large-scale longitudinal datasets charting microbiome and immune dynamics already gathered by the research team. There will be considerable flexibility in research direction.

The postholder will join a dynamic lab group with access to state-of-the-art lab and computational facilities and be a member of the MERMan research cluster of more than 100 researchers working in microbial ecology and evolution.

As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments are made on merit.

Our University is positive about flexible working – you can find out more here.

Blended working arrangements may be considered.
