This post is full time (35 hours per week) and fixed term until 31st July 2028.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate to work with Dr Lisa Bradley (School of Education, College of Social Sciences, and Advanced Research Centre) on the project: Towards the University of the Future.

The project explores how universities can evolve their institutional architectures, research cultures, and collaborative infrastructures to better enable, scale, and sustain interdisciplinary and futures-facing research. Specifically, the job requires expert knowledge in interdisciplinary studies, research cultures, higher education futures, organisational change and/or creative and participatory research methods.

The successful candidate will make a leading contribution to the project and also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project/disciplinary area as opportunities allow.

Candidates should hold a Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 12 (PhD) in education, interdisciplinary studies, social sciences, organisational studies, science and technology studies, or related discipline plus track record of emerging independence within a research/professional environment or alternatively possess professional qualifications and experience equivalent to PhD level plus the requisite experience.
