The College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions at South Dakota State University is seeking a Research Communications Coordinator to help showcase the impactful work of our faculty, staff, and students. This role collaborates closely across the college to support writing, editing, and communication efforts that highlight research and advance key initiatives. This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota and is a grant funded, 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and the Grant Proposal Specialist to support grant writing and ensure high-quality submissions.
- Develop and maintain templates and tools to streamline the grant and manuscript preparation process.
- Provide guidance and editing support for grant proposals, manuscripts, and other research-related documents.
- Assist with drafting, revising, and formatting application materials to meet sponsor and journal requirements.
- Partner with faculty and students on manuscript development, offering support from outlining to final editing.
- Write and edit news articles, press releases, and newsletter content highlighting research, grants, publications, and college achievements.
- Coordinate with University Marketing and Communications on publications and event coverage.
- Support dissemination of grant-funded project materials, including reports, presentations, and briefs.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree;
- At least one year of relevant experience such as technical writing, grant proposal editing, or proof reading, etc;
- Ability to work independently with self-initiation;
- Effective teamwork, organizational, and time management skills;
- Experience in university research or research administration; and
- Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
