Sheffield Institute of Education is appointing a Mixed Methods Research Fellow to contribute to excellence and expansion of mixed methods research, evaluation, and knowledge exchange projects.

As Research Fellow, you will work with colleagues as part of a team on a range of projects in the fields of education, sociology, and psychology, contributing to the writing of contract research bids and grants, delivery of projects, data collection and analyses and writing reports and academic papers.

You will work with quantitative, mixed methods and qualitative specialists on research and evaluation projects which deploy experimental and/or quasi-experimental research designs, design and undertake surveys, group and individual interviews, access and analyse administrative data and play a key role in managing complex projects (including some input into Randomised Controlled Trials).

You might have previous experience in undertaking mixed methods research and evaluation and/or have completed a Master’s degree or doctorate in Education or a relevant social science discipline which included qualitative and quantitative elements.

This is a temporary/fixed-term role for 14 months with potential to be extended/made permanent.
