About the Opportunity
Join the research team within Kurongkurl Katitjin at Edith Cowan University. The team includes passionate academic and professional staff dedicated to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities. Researchers specialise in health services research, epidemiology, and evidence synthesis with a focus on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and families.
The Research Officer is a key member of the research team, providing project coordination and support across multiple research projects. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing workloads, timelines, and priorities. You will work closely with researchers to ensure projects run smoothly and deliver outcomes on time.
Your day-to-day will include:
Managing project administration, including record-keeping, managing timelines, meetings, reporting, and general coordination.
Coordinating and organising data collection for projects, including scheduling and working closely with Aboriginal participants in a culturally safe way.
Liaising and communicating with stakeholders, the research team, participants, and external agencies to support smooth project delivery.
Assisting with report and research article writing.

About you
You’ll bring:
A tertiary qualification in a relevant health discipline OR equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, or professional accreditation.
Demonstrated experience in research activities is desirable, including accurate data collection, timely completion of documentation, and the ability to engage and support families throughout study participation.
Proficient in Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Excel, Outlook, and Word.
