Research Programmer Analyst I - Radiology, Biomedical Image Analytics and Informatics
Position Summary
The Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at WashU invites applications for a Research Programmer Analyst I position in biomedical image analytics and informatics. The successful candidate will join a highly interdisciplinary team of informaticians, engineers, and imaging scientists to advance quantitative imaging and informatics applications in cancer, diabetes/obesity, and neuroimaging, spanning both preclinical and clinical studies.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement computational image processing and analytic pipelines for multimodal biomedical imaging datasets (preclinical and clinical).
- Design, test, and deploy cloud-based workflows and containerized applications to support quantitative imaging research.
- Collaborate with faculty and trainees across disciplines to integrate imaging and informatics approaches.
- Independently run code and conduct analysis on test cases. Evaluating the results of the tests and determining if the results are physically meaningful in nuclear chemistry.
- Create a formal report on these results and write a formal description of the code.
- Communicate the results to the PI via written reports and verbal communication.
- Contribute to manuscript preparation, presentations, and dissemination of results at national and international meetings.
- (Preferred) Provide project management support to coordinate imaging informatics initiatives.

- Prepare experimental results for publication, write manuscripts and present data at scientific conferences and meetings.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
Work Experience: Relevant Experience (2 Years)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters of Science in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

Salary Range: $48,000.00 - $86,900.00 / Annually
