Research Specialist A

This Research specialist will work collaboratively on several cellular and molecular biology projects within the Basil laboratory including helping to maintain the Human Lung Tissue Bank, which includes biobanking samples and maintaining a de-identified database, and also other laboratory work, including working with human tissue, nucleic acid work, Q-RT-PCR, protein work and western blotting. They will coordinate with the rest of the team, including the associated laboratory and institute colleagues, to assist with human lung tissue work, including distribution of tissue, and processing of human lung tissue for downstream experiments, including histology, cellular sorting, cell culture, and molecular biology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must have some laboratory experience working with molecular biology, cell culture or biochemical techniques. Must be willing to work with human tissue samples.
