Offer Description
MORE – Mountains of Research Collaborative Laboratory – Association is seeking to recruit 1 Research Technician within the scope of the project SUBSUS – New sustainable substrates for the horticultural sector and development of natural biocidal extracts for agricultural pests and diseases (Project No. 17354, Code: COMPETE2030-FEDER-01184500), approved under call MPr-2023-8 SIID – Business R&D – Collaborative Operations – Low-Density Territories.
The Research Technician will carry out technical and scientific activities, namely establishing and implementing technical requirements for scaling up natural extract production processes for subsequent application at industrial scale.
The position also involves the preparation of scientific and technical publications and reports, participation in meetings with project partners, and collaboration in external communication and dissemination activities related to the project, at both national and international levels.

Skills/Qualifications
- Experience in areas related to the scope of the project;
- Experience in the production of natural extracts;
- Experience in the physicochemical and bioactive characterization of different natural matrices;
- Skills in carrying out technical and scientific activities related to the scale-up of natural extract production processes;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Experience in communication and dissemination activities.
Specific Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology or related fields;
- The Bachelor’s degree must be supported by a degree certificate issued by a Portuguese higher education institution or, if the degree was obtained outside Portugal, by the corresponding official recognition of the academic degree in Portugal;
- Good command of Portuguese and English, both written and spoken;
- Autonomy and ability to travel within Portugal using a service vehicle;
- Valid Category B driving licence.

Benefits
The selected candidate will benefit from the following employment conditions:
- Fixed-term employment contract for a period of 18 months;
- Gross monthly salary of €1,443.00;
