Research Technician ? Fischer Lab
The Fischer Lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a Structural and Chemical Biology laboratory that combines a broad range of experimental and computational approaches to study protein homeostasis pathways and disease-relevant protein complexes, particularly those associated with cancer. Using deep expertise in cellular degradation machinery, we apply structure- and computation-guided strategies to develop and test novel small molecules that hijack the ubiquitin-proteasome system for targeted protein degradation. By integrating fundamental mechanistic insight with translational chemical biology, we are pioneering new therapeutic strategies with direct relevance to cancer treatment.
The Fischer Lab (https://fischerlab.dana-farber.org/) seeks a highly motivated individual to join the team as a Research Technician. The successful candidate will work closely with a senior postdoctoral fellow to advance multiple ongoing research projects focused on pediatric cancer therapeutics. The successful candidate can develop an independent project if there is interest. The role is bench-intensive and central to the lab’s scientific progress.
In addition to experimental research, responsibilities include selected aspects of laboratory management and organization.
A research technician will provide additional training and structured support during the transition period. Training is available across all major experimental platforms in the laboratory.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to innovative, therapeutically driven research in a highly collaborative environment with immediate translational impact in oncology.
