Researcher 1
The Researcher 1 will support research and programming to advance inclusive, community-based cross-sector leadership. This is a part-time position, 32 hours/week. This position reports to Kathy Quick, Professor at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, and may involve collaboration with other employees of the Center for Integrative Leadership and University of Minnesota Extension’s Community Development Department.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities will include: (50%) literature scans and reviews; primary data collection and analysis; and revision and editing of presentations and manuscripts regarding the advantages and constraints of place-based approaches to leadership involving collaboration among the business, government, and nonprofit sectors. The incumbent will also (25%) support operations of the Center for Integrative Leadership, including administration of leadership development program outreach, communication, and logistics. Finally, the position will (25%) participate in data collection and analysis to inform program design or evaluation relating to immigrant-serving nonprofit, government, and business organizations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or a combination of education and relevant work experience equal to four years
- Research experience
- Good organizational, communication, and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in public affairs or related field
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication fluency in Spanish
