Residential Services Clerk

Job Summary

The Residential Services Clerk assists current residents, prospective residents, and visitors at the Sunnyside Apartments Main Office. May also assist in package processing, administrative support, or other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Opens and closes the Main Office and/or package room depending on shift.
  • Staffs the front desk or package desk, serving as the first point of contact for residents, prospective residents, and visitors.
  • Provides excellent customer service to individuals with varying traditions, cultures, orientation, and racial and ethnic origins.
  • Communicate with current residents, prospective residents, and visitors in-person, over the phone, via email, or via online chat. Provides assistance, answers questions, and refers questions or issues to the correct resources.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other departments, including maintenance, finance, assignments, and Resident Life.
  • Conducts move-in orientations for new residents.
  • Have a basic understanding of Sunnyside Apartments information that is relevant to residents.
  • Handle documents, keys, and packages for residents to pick up.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and transactions.
  • Processes various office forms with accompanying data entry.
  • Processes resident records in apartment management system (Yardi).
  • Verifies incoming applications; contacts applicants for missing information.
  • Active member of the leasing team that helps residents feel at home and comfortable on campus.
  • Other general office support as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Requires little to no related experience.
