Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Salesforce professional who is passionate about empowering others through education. As a Salesforce Instructor and Content Developer, you will design and deliver high-quality training programs that prepare learners for careers as Salesforce Administrators. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Salesforce tools, configuration, and administration, along with a talent for teaching and content development.
This role blends instructional delivery with hands-on content creation and is ideal for individuals who enjoy translating real-world Salesforce expertise into engaging learning experiences. Priority will be given to candidates with Salesforce certifications and experience in CRM implementation, business process automation, and user training.
This is a hybrid position that includes both in-person and online instruction. Candidates must be available to teach at any of our Salt Lake area campuses and be comfortable facilitating virtual sessions via platforms such as Zoom or Canvas. Evening instruction hours are typical to accommodate working professionals, with occasional daytime availability required for meetings or planning sessions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Content Development
With the support and expertise of an instructional designer:
- Design and develop engaging, hands-on training content focused on Salesforce Administrator role.
- Create instructional materials including lesson plans, configuration exercises, business scenarios, quizzes, and certification prep guides.
- Ensure content aligns with current Salesforce best practices, platform updates, and industry standards.
Instructional Delivery
- Deliver workshops and training sessions to adult learners with varying levels of technical proficiency.
- Facilitate interactive learning experiences using Salesforce Trailhead, sandbox environments, and real-world use cases.
- Provide individualized support and feedback to learners to ensure comprehension and skill development.
Program Support
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with program coordinators, lab aides, and instructional designers to ensure smooth delivery and continuous improvement.
- Stay current with Salesforce platform updates, features, and certification pathways.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Deep understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities and administrative functions.
- Ability to design and deliver training that bridges technical concepts with practical business applications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on adult education.
- Adaptability and creativity in instructional methods and content delivery.
- Commitment to student success and continuous improvement of training programs.
- Ability to represent the institution in a professional manner, adhering to its values and policies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
- Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent certifications with significant relevant experience.
- At least one year of teaching, training, or content development experience.
- Proficiency in AI concepts and tools, with the ability to translate them into practical, industry-relevant applications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage adult learners with a wide range of professional experience, learning styles, and educational backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Certified Administrator or higher-level certifications (e.g., Advanced Admin, Platform App Builder).
- Industry experience in CRM implementation, sales operations, customer service, or business analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
- Experience using Canvas, Zoom, or other learning management and virtual instruction platforms.
