Workplan:Analyses of the effect of blockages in transient pressure signals, based on an extensive experimental data collection programme in a pipe rig and on numerical simulations.
Duration:The research fellowship will have the duration of 3 months. It’s expected to begin in October 2026. This research fellowship is not renewable.

Benefits
Monthly maintenance allowance:According to the values for Research Fellowships awarded by FCT in Portugal (https://www.fct.pt/fct-atualizou-o-valor-das-bolsas-para-2026), the amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is 701,12€, being the payment method an option of the Fellow by Wire Transfer/Check.

Selection process
Selection methods: The selection methods will be the following: (i) average grade of the Bachelor's and Master's degrees (50%); (ii) experience in participating in various projects, activities and initiatives in an academic and industrial environment (20%); (iii) letter of motivation (30%). If necessary, an individual interview may be conducted which will calculate the arithmetic average with the previous curricular component.

Announcement/ notification of the results: The final evaluation results will be communicated to all applicants by email.
Deadlines and procedures of complaint and appeal. A complaint may be lodged from the final decision within 15 working days, or an appeal to the Executive Board of IST-ID within 30 working days, both counted from the respective notification
