Senior Associate Director, Faculty Affairs
Overview
NYU's Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Associate Director, Faculty Affairs. The Senior Associate Director will develop and implement administrative processes, procedures, and timelines aligned with school and university policies across the faculty lifecycle, including tenure and promotion reviews, compensation, sabbaticals and leaves, recruitment, faculty immigration, adjunct appointments, teaching and graduate fellows, and visiting scholars. The selected candidate will oversee and analyze faculty data in Salesforce and Interfolio and lead data governance. They will manage faculty housing allocation and renovation projects, including furnished rental apartments, and collaborate with faculty to address housing needs. The Senior Associate Director will also plan and implement annual merit review processes, oversee faculty committee elections and operations, and develop and supervise staff.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate must have a bachelor's degree and at least five years of progressively responsible, professional-level experience in academic administration, human resources management, faculty services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The selected candidate must have experience supervising staff; developing and overseeing the implementation of policies and practices in an academic and/or nonprofit environment; and possess excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, data analysis, and verbal and written communication skills.The ability to professionally interact with all levels of staff, faculty, and outside groups; deliver consistently high-quality, timely service; lead multiple complex tasks simultaneously; and oversee a variety of services in a fast-paced environment is required. The candidate must have the ability to interpret policies for high-profile faculty recruits, develop relationships with key constituents throughout the University, manage projects effectively, and solve problems. Familiarity with standard office software, including spreadsheet software, Access, and database applications, is also required.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $90,000.00 to USD $110,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
