Reporting to the Co-curricular Programs Manager, this role plays a key part in delivering a strategic co-design student facing initiative involving Peer Mentoring, leadership and development.
Working within Student Life, you will collaborate with teams across the University to design and deliver programs aligned to the student journey, informed by student data and experience insights. You will also support outreach initiatives for diverse student cohorts, contribute to campaign and event delivery, and assist with triage and referral of students to appropriate support services where needed.
This role contributes to a connected, data-informed and student-centred approach to co-curricular programming and student support.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- manage, coach and lead a small team of Co-curricular Program Coordinators
- lead student support outreach programs and initiatives for various cohorts across the University
- contribute to the development and delivery of campaigns, workshops and events in collaboration with the Student Life team
- deliver tailored, cohort-specific programs and campaigns underpinned by student data and insights
- coordinate and collaborate with Managers and Leads to deliver student support initiatives
- work with Faculty Leads, Coordinators and student groups to identify cohort needs and develop joint priorities and initiatives
- support additional student support outreach initiatives as directed
- assist with initial triage of students presenting with concerns and ensure timely referral to Student Wellbeing or Student Advising services
About you
- demonstrated ability to analyse and synthesise information from multiple sources to determine student needs and priorities, particularly for high-achieving students
- ability to interpret policy information and assess impacts on student programs and initiatives
- excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with tact and discretion when handling sensitive student matters
- strong time and workload management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, stakeholder relationships and meet deadlines
- demonstrated experience working with students or young people
- experience designing and delivering engaging content for campaigns, workshops, events and initiatives across online and face-to-face formats
- experience in student support, triage, advising or prevention-focused services, including use of digital delivery platforms
- prior experience and knowledge in higher or tertiary education will be highly regarded
