You’ll work on diverse projects across various technologies, impacting UQ stakeholders, staff, students, alumni, and the broader UQ community.
Key responsibilities:
- Innovate and Implement: Design, develop, and support information systems and infrastructure for BPM and UQ Automation platforms.
- Consult and Advise: Provide expert consulting services on bespoke solutions and technical aspects of Automation Technologies.
- Advise and Support: Offer technical advice, operational support, and contribute to the architecture, governance, and best practices of automation platforms.
- Evaluate and Improve: Investigate, evaluate, and report on new systems and processes, while enhancing team practices.
About You
- Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in IT or equivalent qualifications/experience, with significant industry experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong software development experience, especially in front-end development using JavaScript frameworks, and proficiency in Database concepts, Linux, Data management (RDBMS), and SQL.
- Agile Experience: Proven ability to provide development timeline estimates and experience with agile/hybrid development methodologies.
- Analytical Mindset: Commitment to secure development practices and strong analytical skills to assess problems and propose solutions.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices.
- Self-Motivated: Organised and methodical in delivering effective solutions.
- Bonus Points: Experience with Java/Groovy development and AWS (including S3, CloudFront, Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, and EC2)
Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia and criminal history checks.
