Senior Digital Education Officer

About Us

The Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy (SSPP) is one of the largest UK university communities for social research and education. The Digital Education team sits within the wider Faculty Education team and is a vital part of the Faculty's success, driving innovation in technology enhanced learning.

Join us in our mission to shape the future of education and empower students globally through innovative learning experiences.

About The Role

This professional services role sits within the Faculty of Social Science and Public Policy’s Digital Education team. As a Senior Digital Education Officer, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) across the faculty, in close collaboration with King’s Central Digital Education Team.

You will support the administration of King’s Moodle-based virtual learning environment (KEATS), coordinate annual VLE processes, and provide first- and second-line support for TEL tools. The role involves delivering training, troubleshooting issues, and supporting innovative digital learning solutions that improve the user experience.

Working with academic and professional services colleagues, you will help embed TEL into teaching and assessment, contribute to strategic TEL projects, and ensure a student-centred approach is at the heart of digital education delivery. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for digital education, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a focus on delivering high-quality customer service aligned with institutional goals.

The role is based at Bush House on the King’s Strand Campus though you may be required to travel to other campuses on occasion. King’s Professional Services staff can work in a hybrid working pattern with working from home permitted for up to 40% of each week. Changes to this pattern may occur and are determined by required output and departmental need.

This is a full-time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
