Senior IDS Digital Workplace Officer

This role, known at Flinders as Senior IDS Digital Workplace Officer, is hands-on and operationally grounded, with opportunities to feed into more advanced platform, security and AI capabilities through project support.
Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:
- Ensuring the provision of operational support to agreed levels, identifying and rectifying faults within appropriate timelines and liaising and negotiating with vendors and third-party suppliers to resolve technical issues.

About You
You have a customer service focus, and proven, practical experience administering Microsoft 365 in a complex environment, with particular depth across Core MS365 Workloads (Teams, Exchange Online, Sharepoint Online, OneDrive, EntraID, Intune and Purview), along with operational experience supporting level 2 and Level 3 activities, (triaging incidents, resolving service issues and working with escalations).
We are looking for someone who:
- Is operationally strong and service-minded, not purely project or consulting focused
- Is comfortable balancing day-to-day support with continuous improvement
- Has a genuine interest in security, governance and modern workplace evolution
- Wants to grow their skills across Microsoft 365, security, identity, endpoint management and AI over time
As the role will actively support and feed into University infrastructure and cyber security programs, experience or strong interest in MS Purview, MS Security/Defender and information and data security will be viewed favourably, with exposure to Windows 10 / Windows 11 a strong plus. Additionally, knowledge and experience with automation across M365 environments leveraging tools such as PowerShell and Power Automate are essential.
