The diverse and talented staff in the Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT) play a central role in achieving ECU's vision, and in designing and implementing future-oriented teaching and learning strategies. With its base at the Joondalup Campus, the CLT delivers a comprehensive suite of services and programmes on campus.

About the Opportunity

The Senior Inclusive Learning Adviser is a shared position between Access and Equity and the Centre for Learning and Teaching supporting student skills development, including academic literacies and other forms of learning support, for students with disability, health conditions and who are neurodivergent. Positioned within the Access and inclusion service and Centre for Learning and Teaching, this specialist role will embed evidence-based learning support as well as providing targeted workshops and resources to empower students with diverse learning needs to succeed.

The role will lead the development of academic skills programs and resources that support the needs of students with disability, health conditions and who are neurodivergent. This includes leading practice in accessible learning support across a range of delivery modes, including providing one on one support for students. By offering dedicated support as well as best practice strategies to the Learning Support service, the Senior Inclusive Learning Adviser is pivotal in the creation of an educational environment that is inclusive and enhances the conditions for every student’s success.

About you

Suitable candidates will meet the following selection criteria:

A relevant postgraduate qualification; or equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation. A degree in education, learning support or accessibility is an advantage.

Demonstrated experience in supporting student skills development, including academic literacies and other forms of learning support, for students with disability, health conditions and who are neurodivergent

Demonstrated experience in leading learning support programs in a higher education environment including across a range of delivery modes ensuring learning accessibility 

You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.

Travel between campuses is a requirement of the position.
