In addition, you’ll manage, coach and mentor a small team of Learning Designers and Content Editors.

Join us in delivering against our values, including putting students at the heart of everything we do, designing impactful learning experiences that are different by design.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Canvas builds: Lead the design and development of Canvas subjects, in line with the University’s educational standards, quality standards and principles that define a premium student experience.
  • Engaging content: Write scripts, storyboards and develop content maps and instructional materials in collaboration with Learning Designers, Media Producers, Graphic Designers, EdTechs and Content Editors.
  • Supervision: Manage, coach and mentor Learning Designers and Content Editors.
  • Technology integration: Use technology to enhance the online learning experience, incorporating interactive features, multimedia elements, AI and various software needed to support learning experiences.

You may be a great fit if:

You are an experienced learning design specialist with a passion for online education, capable of leading course development projects and driving innovation in digital learning environments.

You will also have:

  • Relevant post-graduate qualification and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing the end-to-end design and development of high-quality, pedagogically sound online subjects across multiple disciplines and at scale.
  • Advanced knowledge of design principles, learning methodologies and pedagogical and heutagogical approaches, and demonstrated ability to apply these in developing high-quality, engaging and learner-centred online learning experiences.
  • Proven ability to provide leadership, management and professional development to Learning Designers and Content Editors. Demonstrated experience in setting priorities, supporting the allocation of work and managing performance within a team environment.
