The School of Nursing, University of Wollongong is identified as a provider of high-quality professional education and contributing to the generation and dissemination of knowledge within a research-intensive university. The Bachelor of Nursing program is offered at six delivery sites including, Wollongong, Liverpool, Sutherland, Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla and Bega Valley. In addition, we have an expansive post graduate portfolio with degrees in Nursing, Mental health, Dementia Care and Health Leadership and Management. The School has an expansive research agenda. Our research agenda has six foci: Clinical Excellence, Mental Health, Ageing, Primary Health, Person-Centred Practice and Teaching and Learning under the leadership of excellent researchers.

We’re seeking a passionate and innovative Senior Lecturer to join the School of Nursing in a teaching and research role. In this position, you’ll lead and deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate subjects, design meaningful and contemporary learning and assessment experiences and use technology-enhanced approaches to support student success. Alongside your teaching, you’ll contribute to the School by supervising and mentoring academic staff, building strong relationships with professional and industry partners and supporting marketing and community engagement activities. You’ll also undertake research and supervise HDR students, playing an important role in strengthening the School’s research profile and impact.

About you

You’re a registered Nurse in Australia with current NMBA recency of practice and strong clinical experience in Australian healthcare settings. You’ve completed a doctoral qualification in nursing or health sciences and built a strong scholarly profile, especially in areas focused on the healthcare workforce. You bring university teaching experience, are confident working with both small and large groups, and enjoy designing curriculum and assessments that make good use of technology. You work well with others and build positive, professional relationships across the University and with industry partners.
