Job Description
The UMKC School of Dentistry is seeking a customer-service oriented, tech-savvy professional to join our collaborative academic community as a Senior Office Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, detail-oriented individual who enjoys supporting faculty and students while working at the intersection of technology, communication, and design.
In this role, you'll serve as a key resource for technical and administrative support, particularly for online assessments and instructional technologies. You'll also play an important role in campus-wide communications, digital content creation, and end-user training. Primary Responsibilities
- Administer online testing using ExamSoft
- Administer and maintain selected online tools, resources, and calendars
- Provide end-user assistance with Microsoft Office and Adobe software
- Triage and respond to inquiries and collaborate with technical support teams to resolve computer and technology issues
- Research, write, and distribute a variety of school-wide email communications
- Create, update, and maintain the school's website content
- Develop and publish social media content for the school's Instagram and Facebook pages
- Create and update content for the school's Digital Signage System
- Research, compile, edit, and write administrative and creative correspondence, remarks, presentations, and comprehensive reports
Secondary Responsibilities
- Provide graphic design, art, and photography support
- Assist with planning and provide meeting support for school-wide events
- Order printing and graphics services
- Order and maintain adequate inventory of departmental supplies and equipment
Shift
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), benefit-eligible, staff position. As an hourly position, this role is eligible for Over-Time and/or Compensatory Time.
Typical on-site office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Some evenings and weekends may be required as-needed for special events and test scheduling.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

- Exceptional computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Experience providing end-user training and technical support
- Demonstrated creativity and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a diverse academic community
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Flexibility with unanticipated projects/assignments
- Manage confidential information with discretion
- Social Media & web media graphic design and/or management
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $18.00 - $24.00 an hour.
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. The University of Missouri provides generous leave, health plans, and retirement contributions that add to your bottom line.
