Reporting to the Associate Director of Philanthropy, you will manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding substantial philanthropic gifts. Your responsibilities include developing compelling proposals aligned with university priorities, collaborating with Deans, researchers, and senior leaders, and contributing to strategic campaign planning and best-practice donor engagement. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in building strong, enduring relationships that advance philanthropy across Swinburne.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated experience in major gift fundraising
- Strong capability in donor engagement and relationship development
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and complex organisations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative, proactive and strategic mindset
- Experience in higher education or complex not-for-profit environments will be highly regarded.
Qualifications
- Post graduate qualification or marketing/business degree with subsequent relevant fundraising/business development experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in fundraising; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or
- education/training.
