Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager will manage various survey, qualitative, and mixed methods research and evaluation projects for The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC). Position responsibilities include working closely with Principal Investigators, coordinating the research and administrative efforts of project team members; managing relationships with project sponsors and external partners; writing technical reports and stakeholder communications; providing subject matter expertise on health policy projects; establishing/improving workflows; and project development, including grant and proposal writing (additional details included in Job Duties section below). The Senior Project Manager will develop technical literacy in project-specific methodology, analytic tools, data sources, and data science workflows. The Project Manager responsibilities may include project-related research, including literature reviews, qualitative interview facilitation, survey and interview instrument design and testing, and basic data analysis (dependent on project needs and proficiency with data analysis software, including Excel, creation of charts and graphs, calculating basic descriptive statistics, etc.).

Minimum Education Required
Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of four years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree or two years of relevant experience with a master's degree is required.
Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Experience collaborating with state government agencies, university researchers, and/or healthcare system stakeholders.
  • Training and/or experience in program evaluation, health services research, public health research, or related field.
  • Ability to manage complex, technical projects with multiple analytic streams, maintain dynamic timelines, and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience managing or implementing health‑related research and evaluation projects, including:
    • Planning and coordinating quantitative and qualitative research activities, including preparing IRB submissions, drafting documents, developing project Gantt charts, supporting data governance;
    • Working with administrative and/or research datasets (e.g., Medicaid claims, survey responses), including developing a working knowledge of underlying data structures and measures;
    • Supporting statistical programming and modeling workflows, code management, and version control;
    • Facilitating qualitative research processes, including design, data collection, coding and analysis, and synthesis of results;
    • Interpreting and summarizing analytic results for diverse audiences; and
    • Preparing written reports, presentations, and/or peer‑reviewed publications.

The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Centers mission is to identify, research, and spread innovative practices to improve access to quality healthcare for all Ohioans through partnerships with healthcare, state, and academic leaders. The GRCs current work encompasses critical issues and challenges in public health and health services, including maternal and infant mortality, the ongoing opioid crisis, Ohios Medicaid membership, management of chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, health equity, and health system payment innovation.
