Senior Researcher

Oxford Population Health (the Nuffield Department of Population Health) provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching and for professional and support staff. We work together to answer some of the most important questions about the causes, prevention and treatment of disease.

We are seeking a Senior Researcher to support and work with an international team, working on some of the world’s largest single-cell data assets, as well as the world’s largest longitudinal population studies, and other international initiatives. You will be an integral member of the Awadalla lab as well as the AI for Health and Translational Epidemiology Unit at the Big Data Institute. The interdisciplinary position is ideal for a scientist interested in bridging cellular-level resolution with population-level insights, to uncover how biological systems maintain function and resilience with age over time.

To be considered, you must hold a relevant PhD/DPhil in one of the following subjects: computational biology or machine learning, statistical genetics and/or have relevant post-qualification experience in quantitative, genomic or molecular epidemiology, or statistical genetics. You will also have excellent communication skills and experience supporting a research team’s needs including manuscript and grant preparation.

This is a full time, fixed term post (part time considered) for 3 years.
