Senior Student and Academic Administration Officer

- Part Time/Full-time, fixed-term position through to December 2026
- Base salary will be in the range $95,361 - $102,302 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6)
- Based at our Herston Campus

In this role, you will provide high-level administrative support across the student lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of responsive, student-centred services spanning enrolment, progression, examinations and results.
You will apply sound judgement in interpreting university policies and procedures, maintain the integrity of student records, and work collaboratively with academic and professional colleagues to support continuous improvement and accreditation activities. Key responsibilities will include:
- Provide expert advice and high-level administrative support across the student lifecycle, interpreting UQ policies to resolve routine and complex course-related matters in collaboration with academic and professional stakeholders.
- Coordinate course and assessment administration, including scheduling, course profiles, examinations, results finalisation, adjustments, scholarships, prizes and formal student correspondence.
- Deliver governance and compliance support, including appeals, grievances and misconduct processes, committee secretariat duties, Faculty submissions, and accreditation-related activities.
- Drive continuous improvement through the development of standard operating procedures, coordination of student evaluations, and preparation, analysis and reporting of operational data.

About You
- Completion of a degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialised expertise or broad knowledge in student and academic administration; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- A sound understanding of administrative processes and experience in working in a high volume, complex, service orientated environment.
- Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills, including the ability to effectively establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail to enable accurate interpretation and advice on a range of complex matters.
- Knowledge of University student computer systems and packages e.g. Microsoft office, SI-net, Business Objects, InPlace and the use of CRM systems would be desirable.
