Senior Teaching Fellow/Teaching Fellow/Instructor I/II in the Department of Biomedical Engineering [Ref. R/213/25]
Duties
- Teach Biomedical Engineering and related disciplines at postgraduate levels;
- Be subject leaders in individual’s specialism providing leadership in teaching;
- Be assigned responsibility as course co-teachers, contributing to the planning and development of courses and study programmes of the Department and other units for which the Department has servicing courses;
- Undertake teaching and teaching-related duties, as well as learning support and professional activities to enhance students’ educational experience; and
- Share administrative duties as required by the Head of Department.
Requirements
A relevant postgraduate degree with strong teaching or professional experience in the broadly-defined areas of Biomedical Engineering.
Candidates for Senior Teaching Fellow should have substantial professional experience, expertise and recognisable achievements in non-academic settings; and a distinguished record of teaching and administration, contribution to instructional development, with demonstrated experience and accomplishment in curriculum planning and student supervision.
Candidates for Teaching Fellow should have good professional experience and expertise in non-academic settings, with experience in teaching and administration.
Candidates for Instructor I should have 4 years’ appropriate postgraduate full-time teaching experience. Candidates with less relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Instructor II.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
