Required Qualifications
At least 30 college credit hours, 9 hours or more in ECE. Good oral and written communication and customer service skills. Must have prior experience in a day care, baby-sitting, or nursery school setting.
Must be able to demonstrate the Morton College core values of compassion, equity, accountability, innovation, and excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English. Knowledge of Early Childhood Learning Standards. Be able to demonstrate cooperative and flexible attitude and good judgment. Show courteous, caring, and patient demeanor and enjoy interacting with small children.
Job Summary
The Service Aide of the Child Learning Center will assist the Coordinator in the daily operation of the Day Care and Preschool classes in the Child Learning Center. The duties and responsibilities may change as the need of the College arises.
Specific Job Duties
- To assist the coordinator and teachers in preparing materials and equipment for children’s games, play, crafts, music, reading, social and exercise activities.
- To provide information to parents about the Child Learning Center policies and procedures.
- To assist with Child Learning Center record keeping and correspondence activities.
- To interact with and supervise children in the Child Learning Center.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

$16.53 per hour
