Sign Maker 1
Job Summary
Collaborates with customers to understand their signage needs and preferences. Design and create custom signs using a variety of materials and techniques, fabricate signs using tools and equipment in workshop.
Install signs at customer locations with attention to detail and precision. Manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure timely completion. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
Responsibilities
The job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Under direct supervision, develops layouts, fabricates, installs, or repairs interior and exterior signage and other identification or directional messaging devices. Assignments are performed in accordance with AU signage standards and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED from a recognized State or Federal accredited organization with one year experience. Valid drivers license.
Other Required Qualifications
Basic level of knowledge in sign making, carpentry, and general construction skills.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
ABILITIES
Ability to interact and communicate well with others.
KNOWLEDGE
Considerable knowledge of locksmith trades.
Knowledge of the graph design, signmaking trade and building construction.
Knowledge of computer software systems, Database, Spreadsheets, and other Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Engraving.
SKILLS
Using personal computers and tools.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F
Pay Band: 4
Salary Minimum: $17.02/hour - $20.87/hour
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
