About the Role
FHMRI Sleep Health, based within the College of Medicine and Public Health, is a world leader in transdisciplinary research focused on sleep, sleep disorders, and the development of innovative treatments to improve sleep health. The team also operates a specialised clinical service, primarily addressing insomnia and sleep-disordered breathing.
In this role, you will work under routine to general direction to support the effective delivery of clinical research, including clinical trials. You will assist the Chief Investigator and research team with a range of tasks such as participant recruitment and scheduling, adherence to trial protocols, coordination of study logistics, operation of laboratory equipment, data collection, and administrative support. Your contributions will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of high-quality sleep research projects.
About You
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- A degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g. medical sciences, psychology, biomedical engineering), or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
- Capability to contribute to the design, coordination, and execution of research experiments.
- A demonstrated interest in respiratory and sleep disorders or human physiology.
- Experience in a clinical sleep laboratory or research in respiratory/sleep physiology
- Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) qualification or equivalent
