Job Summary:
As the Social Media Program Manager, you become the architect behind the school's most influential storytelling, elevating the Dean's national presence on LinkedIn, amplifying groundbreaking research, and showcasing the people and ideas driving the future of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences. You'll collaborate with senior leadership, faculty experts, and cross-campus partners to translate complex academic work into compelling narratives, while also developing school-wide campaigns that highlight faculty discoveries, student achievements, and major research milestones. Through strategic content creation, active engagement, and data-driven optimization, your work will directly shape how peers, policymakers, healthcare leaders, and prospective students perceive the school, offering both immediate impact and long-term career growth within a dynamic academic medical campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the Dean's LinkedIn strategy, crafting thought-leadership content, managing the executive voice, and expanding the Dean's national digital influence.
- Develop and manage the school's broader social media strategy across LinkedIn, Meta, and other priority platforms to elevate reputation, visibility, and engagement.
- Create compelling content that showcases faculty expertise, research breakthroughs, student success stories, alumni achievements, and institutional recognition.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, marketing, admissions, advancement, and faculty to source, shape, and refine high-impact digital storytelling.
- Track, analyze, and report social media performance, using data to optimize strategy and demonstrate measurable impact on institutional goals.
Work Location:
Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
- Four (4) years of professional social media management experience, with strong expertise in LinkedIn.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education, healthcare, academic medicine, or research institutions.
- Experience working with senior leaders or faculty.
- Demonstrated experience managing or supporting executive-level social media accounts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone for institutional and executive audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Basic design or multimedia skills (e.g., Canva, short-form video).
- Strategic thinker with a creative drive and attention to detail.
- High level of professionalism and discretion.
- Strong judgment and editorial instincts.
- Proactive, organized, and comfortable working independently.
- A passion for higher education, research, and health impact.
- Familiarity with university rankings, reputation management, or thought leadership strategy.
