Specialist 1, Grand Theatre Crew Member (Part Time)

Job Summary

Theatre stage crew position working on lighting & set load in/out, as well as some basic scene shop work, and working on the run crew during performances.

• Able to trouble shoot & problem solve
• Other duties as assigned
• Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, abilities, cultures, and ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.

Minimum qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
One year paid experience or one year college experience in technical theatre

Preferred Qualifications

At least one (1) year of higher education in theatre design, art, or performance or at least two (2) years practical experience. Basic working knowledge of back stage practices and some prior experience working in back stage environments. Some prior experience working in a theatrical scene shop. Some prior experience working in a theatrical lighting
