Specialist - Office of Talent Strategy
The Specialist for the Office of Talent Strategy (OTS) supports the administration, development, and coordination of office programs and events while providing essential, in-person support to department administrators. Reporting to the Supervisor of the Accelerated Training Centers (ATC), this role plays a key part in fostering a culture that prioritizes student success within workforce development programming.
Accelerated Training Center Support
- Provides on-site administrative support to ATC operations and preparation for upcoming and ongoing training programs, meetings, and events.
- Responsibilities include assisting in the Center’s space and inventory scheduling requests; organizing supplies and inventory and informing supervisor of supplies that are running low; requesting laptop carts, access codes, and other technology support; ordering student workbooks and print materials; assisting with room and resource access, class set-up, and technology support; and providing general administrative support to the team.
Program Support
- Provides comprehensive administrative support to enhance student success, departmental programs, and employer relations.
- Responsibilities include assisting with data collection, data entry, data organization, and data report requests; supporting the planning and execution of events, programs, advertising, and recruitment activities; checking, charging, and updating technology and supporting class materials; informing appropriate person(s) of issues; updating departmental calendars; and providing general administrative support.
Customer Service
- Provides high-quality customer service, fostering a welcoming environment for students.
- Assists students in navigating the center and completing interest forms, including greeting individuals, distinguishing between students and walk-ins, directing to resources, supporting form completion, responding to inquiries, and offering guidance on requirements.
Data & Reporting
- Responsible for using technology to track and report program results, manage data and inventory, maintain confidentiality of records, keep accurate records, and complete required documentation.

Fosters and maintains a safe environment of respect and inclusion for faculty, staff, students, and community members.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One (1) year of experience working in an office setting, with diverse socioeconomic and adult learning groups.
- State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
