Position Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to provide direction for and perform repair and maintenance, both corrective and preventive, of the campus steam distribution and condensate return systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Steam and Condensate Systems – 35%
• Preventive and Corrective Maintenance – 30%
• Heating Systems – 15%
• Pump and Motor Repair – 5%
• Welding – 5%
• Administrative – 5%
• Plumbing – 5%

This position is a mandatory position as defined in the Adverse Weather and Emergency Event policy.

Minimum Qualifications

HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCY; OR DEMONSTRATED POSSESSION OF THE COMPETENCIES NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE WORK. SOME POSITIONS MAY REQUIRE SPECIAL LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Steam systems, Condensate Systems, Heat Exchangers, and Steam PRV Stations.
• Cross Connection Back-flow certification
• Plumbing experience
• Confined Space experience
• Welding experience
