STUDENT ACCESS AND SUPPORT COORDINATOR #00064370
This is a Student Services Coordinator position in Student Accessibility and Testing. It facilitates ADA access to university programs, services, and educational opportunities for students with disabilities. It also supports the success and retention of students with disabilities by providing individualized and group programs.
- Meets with students for intake interviews as part of the accommodation request process
- Reviews disability documentation, ADA requirements, accommodation meeting notes, and department processes to determine appropriate and reasonable accommodations
- Meets weekly with assigned students as part of the Executive Function Advising Program
- With each student, reviews and discusses course requirements and progress, challenges, goals, and personalized success and time management strategies
- Develops session plans and implements group executive function advising workshops each semester
- Creates the schedule of sessions for the semester. Develops session content
- Coordinates and facilitates department student advisory committee meetings each semester
- Recruits committee members and determines the meeting schedule
- Develops goals for the semester and an agenda for each meeting
- Reviews topics discussed and student suggestions forwarding them to appropriate university personnel
- Participate in department meetings and training sessions
- Other duties as assigned
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications: Two years of experience in an educational setting. Experience working with college students with disabilities is preferred.
Anticipated Hiring Range: The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $21.71-$22.50 hourly.
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
