St. Charles Community College is seeking a full-time Student Accounts Cashier (40hours per week) who will receive and deposit funds in payment for goods or services by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Accurately collect and process payments and funds.
• Process payments in many forms from students, third party companies or outside sources
• Work with Financial Aid and Enrollment to assist the students with inquiries
• Process refund payments daily
• Invoicing of third-party payments
• Prepare daily deposit
• Balance drawer daily
• Filing of receipts
• Assist students who come into Student Accounts with their concerns or questions
• Work with Bookstore to ensure charges are captured for book sales
• Reconcile daily collection and make deposits
• Some Saturdays required throughout the year (typically 4) for special enrollment events
• Ability to change schedule to fit the needs of the department if necessary
• Generally, an 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. shift but can be altered to accommodate special events throughout the school year
• Additional responsibilities may come up as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires experience in basic data entry, use of a calculator, copier, printer, and cash handling experience
• Must have problem solving ability
• Friendly approachable demeanor
• Good attendance required
• Strong work ethic
