Student and Academic Administration Officer
- This is a full-time, fixed-term position through to August 2026
- Base salary will be in the range $83,776 - $93,121 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 5)
- Based at our St Lucia campus
About This Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and organised Student and Academic Administration Officer to join the School of Education.
In this role, you will provide high-quality customer service and efficient administrative support to students, academic staff and professional colleagues. You will be responsible for a range of student and academic administration activities, supporting the effective delivery of academic programs and services.
This position suits someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely and professional support.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide timely, accurate advice and support to students, staff and stakeholders in accordance with University policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
- Manage a broad range of student administration processes, including extensions, enrolment, progression, and related documentation audits.
- Undertake academic administration activities such as course profiles and Blackboard updates, and reporting.
- Support governance and continuous improvement by preparing reports, providing secretariat support at meetings, and assisting with the review and implementation of improved processes and work practices.

About You
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant area or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
- A sound understanding of administrative processes relevant to student and academic administration, or the ability to rapidly gain such knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, exercise initiative and sound judgement, and work independently to meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- High level written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively and effectively within the team and across other organisational units.
- A strong orientation to the provision of a high level of customer service.
- An empathy with and ability to communicate with students, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Knowledge of University student computer systems and packages e.g. Microsoft office, SI-net, Service Centre and the use of CRM systems would be desirable.
