Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting with new student recruitment and New Student Orientation programs at Middle Georgia State University.

Responsibilities

• Event management (50%): Prepares and executes orientation programs for new students entering the University. Prepares and executes campus tours/events for prospective students of the University.
• Administrative duties (50%): Assist in making calls to new students. Assist with preparing materials for Admissions and Orientation events. Assist Admissions and Recruitment staff with data entry.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled Middle Georgia State University student.
• Must be enrolled in 6 or more semester hours per semester.
• Must have a GPA of 2.0 or greater.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be dependable and prompt.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, social media platforms, Canva, etc.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Knowledge of Middle Georgia State University admissions requirements.
• Knowledge of Middle Georgia State University academic programs, schools and departments and related degree requirements.
• Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs.
• Skill in decision making and problem solving.
• Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
