Student Assistant (Multiple Vacancies)
Position Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant for the department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. A temporary Student Assistant is needed in the Orthopaedics Research Laboratory to perform biomechanical testing on musculoskeletal tissues and implants, using an Instron biomechanical testing machine. This position is essential in order for the principal investigator to successfully complete the ongoing DoD project on total meniscus replacement.
Key Duties
- Perform biomechanical testing on Instron.
- Analyze biomechanical data using appropriate statistical methods.
- Prepare and provide full biomechanical testing reports to Dr. Dunn.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience
Current Rutgers Student; B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering is required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Work Environment: Lab environment, moderate noise.
