"Student Assistant"

Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant for the Pharmacology, Physiology & Neuroscience Department within New Jersey Medical School.

The primary purpose of the Student Assistant position is to, under direction, perform and assist with laboratory services and procedures in support of the research activities of the laboratory.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

• Ensures that glassware and equipment are kept clean and are properly stored; keeps laboratory clean.
• Prepares stock solutions and buffers.
• Assists with the maintenance of the laboratory facilities, equipment and instruments.
• Initiates inventory control of laboratory supplies, prepares and processes orders for supplies as needed.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant science is required.
