Description

This position is located at an off-campus area employer. The responsibilities will involve assisting in the daily operations of the employer. The position is typically located in a school setting, and is ideally suited for someone interested in an educational role (i.e., Teacher, Para-pro, etc.). The duties may include a variety of interactions such as tutoring (math and/or reading).

Examples of Duties

• Work with students in small groups and individually to support class lessons.
• Communicate with staff, families, and students.
• Supplement regular classroom curriculum with additional enrichment activities for students.
• Tutor individual students in areas of academic focus.
• Supports and serves as a role model for our mission, vision, strategic and service initiatives. Adheres to the organization's policies & procedures and compliance guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Typical Qualifications

Education, Certification, Licensure:

• High school diploma
• Student currently enrolled at Mid Michigan College.

Experience:

Previous customer service work experience preferred, but not required.

• Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written format, with various constituencies including students, faculty, administrators, and community members.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
